Julian Bursuc Video: Watch Soccer Star Punch Referee in the Jaw

Have you ever wanted to see a referee get punched in the face?

Of course you have. You are, after all, a sports fan, and sports fans and refs go together about as well as Star Wars geeks and Star Trek geeks.

At any rate, I am pleased to inform you that you have come to the right place. Above, you will find a video that features Moldovan footballer Julian Bursuc falcon-punching a referee right in his jaw—like a boss.

In case you're wondering, Bursuc didn't just do this for kicks (see what I did there?). As EuroSport.com tells the tale, the Sfintul Gheorge midfielder simply got overheated while he and his teammates were involved in an argument while trailing 1-0 in the 55th minute. And when men get overheated, sometimes men throw punches.

And when men throw punches, the fuzz is oftentimes on the scene moments later.

After he let his fist do the talking for him, Bursuc was taken into custody by local police.

Then he retired from football, effective immediately. No joke.

Apparently, Bursuc was truly that ashamed at his actions. Instead of returning to the pitch, the 35-year-old Bursuc decided to hang 'em up.

That's understandable. Just imagine what it would be like if somebody like Ray Lewis were to punch a referee in the face for the world to see. Even a man as proud as himself might decide to call it a career after something like that.

The ref would also probably be dead.
