Michigan State at Nebraska
1 of 5The Nebraska Cornhuskers have not proven anything this season to earn their high ranking, and the only good opponent they played destroyed them. Michigan State just proved they can hang with the big boys, as they beat the Wisconsin Badgers.
Nebraska has a very one-dimensional offense, and Michigan State has a stifling defense that should be all over it. The Spartans have already proven themselves this season, with wins over Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan.
I think it's pretty obvious who the better team in this matchup is, and the only reason Michigan State are the underdogs is because Nebraska is at home.
Nebraska is 4-0 in their last four conference games against the spread, and 7-1 in their last eight October games against the spread.
Pick: Michigan State +4
Baylor at Oklahoma State
2 of 5Most people will be all over the Oklahoma State Cowboys because they score a ton of points and are highly ranked. But don't underestimate the Baylor Bears, who are more than capable of matching the Cowboys point for point.
Neither team plays defense, so this game should be very high-scoring and shouldn't be such a high spread as it currently is.
I'll take the underdog in a game that is going to be close, and the team that has the difference-maker in Robert Griffin.
Baylor is 6-1 in their last seven games against the spread where they're an underdog of 10.5 or greater.
Pick: Baylor +13.5
Clemson at Georgia Tech
3 of 5Clemson continues their dream season with another win and don't look like they're slowing down anytime soon with their explosive offense. Georgia Tech, on the other hand, is struggling and has lost the last two games against Virginia and Miami.
The Yellow Jackets are a one-dimensional offense that is only good at running the ball, and it seems like other defenses have figured them out. Clemson looks unstoppable on offense, as they are averaging 40 points a game and has probably the best players in the country at the skill positions.
You have to go with the hot team on the road to cover the small spread.
Clemson is 7-0 in their last seven conference games against the spread, and are 5-0 against the spread in their last five games against the spread.
Pick: Clemson -3.5
Oklahoma at Kansas State
4 of 5This game is fairly easy for me to bet on. You have a Kansas State team that hasn't proven anything this year. Sure, they've beaten Missouri and Baylor in overtime, but other than that, they haven't done much. They're one of those teams that don't do anything particularity well, they just win games.
Oklahoma is a team that is loaded with talent and has proven themselves to the country. They are also an angry team that is coming off a loss.
It's very hard seeing Kansas State winning this game, as they are less talented and less tested than Oklahoma.
The Sooners are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games following a loss against the spread, and are 4-1 in their last five road games against the spread.
Pick: Oklahoma wins -13.5
California at UCLA
5 of 5If you saw last week's game with UCLA and the fight that broke out, you'll know the Bruins are a bad and lost football team. It's also hard to pick them to win a game when their defense gives up over 30 points per contest, and the offense struggles to score.
California is a team that has a ton of potential and averages 30 points per game. They've lost three games against good teams, but UCLA is far from a good team.
I'll take the road team that has more talent and isn't going through distractions right now.
Pick: California -4.5
