BCS Standings: Nebraska and More Massively over Ranked Teams

Nebraska being ranked No. 14 and one spot ahead of Wisconsin is an absolute joke. This is a massively flawed team that doesn't belong in the top 20.

They are not the only ones ranked too high.  

No. 12 Virginia Tech

At 7-1, the Hokies have the record to warrant being ranked No. 14. However, this is a mirage. Virginia Tech has yet to beat a ranked team, or any that are even really close to being ranked.

The one ranked team they did play they, the Hokies were easily handled. Clemson beat Virginia Tech 23-3.

The Hokies have a solid defense, but it is not elite. Their 10th ranking in points allowed per contest is assisted by their easy schedule.

It is on offense where this team really fails. They lack the playmakers to score against solid defenses.

No. 14 Nebraska

Just like Virginia Tech, the Huskers have the record to be ranked this high. They are 6-1. However, they have also yet to beat a ranked team. And the one ranked team they have played resulted in a worse beatdown than the Hokies.

Nebraska was humiliated by Wisconsin 48-17, and they are now ranked one spot ahead of Wisconsin. The Badgers also only have one loss.

Nebraska only does one thing well, and that is run the ball. They can't throw, and their defense is pathetic. Despite their easy schedule, they are 54th in points allowed per contest.

No. 18 Michigan

Michigan is 6-1, but they have yet to beat a ranked team. Are you noticing a trend here yet?

The Wolverines own one impressive win. That came against a Notre Dame team that beat themselves more than Michigan beat them.

The Wolverines were exposed in their last game when they were easily handled by their rivals Michigan State.

The Spartans shut down Michigan's running attack, and in the process, they crippled Michigan.
