BCS Standings: 3 Top-10 Snubs That Will Prove Themselves

Andrew KulhaOct 23, 2011

Unfortunately, deserving teams being left out of the BCS top 10 happens all too often in college football, so it's no surprise that nothing has changed in 2011.

It just seems to be a way of life with the BCS standings, but the one hope and goal is that by the end of the season everything will even out and teams will be ranked where they deserve to be.

If a team feels it got screwed, there is not much it can do about it besides go out and prove it's worthy of a higher ranking, so at least there is a path towards redemption.

Here are a few top-10 snubs that will prove themselves in the upcoming weeks.

Wisconsin

Granted they lost to Michigan State, but there is no doubt the Badgers are still a dominant team. If anything, the loss proved how good MSU really is. There was no need for Wisconsin to fall all the way down to No. 16. I expect we will see these two matching up in the Big Ten title game.

Michigan State

Somehow the Spartans are only Ranked. No. 11 after beating the former No. 6-ranked team in the nation. It took a Hail Mary for MSU to do it, but there is no doubt the Spartans controlled the game at times and looked very impressive against Russell Wilson and the Badgers.

Houston

The Cougars are 6-0 and feature the new NCAA leader in offensive production in quarterback Case Keenum, yet they're are only ranked No. 17. The sad part is the only reason they are ranked that low is because they are Houston.
