BCS Rankings: Michigan State, Houston and Other Teams That Got Screwed

I wish I could tell you that I was surprised that a team like Michigan State got screwed in the Week 9 BCS rankings, but then again nothing surprises me with the BCS.

The Michigan State Spartans played the game of their careers and knocked down the No. 6 ranked Wisconsin Badgers at home and in prime-time.

Granted the win came on a last-second Hail Mary pass, but there is no doubting that MSU shocked the college football world and essentially controlled most of that game.

Looking at this weekends rankings though, somehow the Spartans are only ranked No. 11.

Granted there are some juggernaut teams in front of them, but in my opinion the Spartans got screwed.

They aren't the only team in the nation that should be disappointed.

Michigan State:

The Spartans beat the No. 6 team in the country and looked really good doing so. They aren't the perfect team, but the fact remains that that they were No. 16 when they beat the Badgers, and still just check in at No. 9.

Houston:

I'm not sure if you've heard of Cougars' quarterback Case Keenum, but he's the newly appointed NCAA all-time offensive leader. He's also leading his team to a very impressive 6-0 start. The fact that they are Houston really hurts them in this instance though, as the are only ranked No. 19.

Kansas State:

If there is one thing that Kansas State being ranked No. 8 points out, it's the flaws in the BCS system. They are having a perfect season, yet they are still behind a one loss team?
