BCS Rankings: Oklahoma State and the Biggest Winners Heading into Week 9
After a shocking Week 8 of college football, there have been a few upsets that other BCS contenders are sure to benefit from as their competition falters.
Here is Oklahoma State and the three teams who are set to gain the most heading into Week 9 of the college football season.
Michigan State
With their thrilling last-second game-winning Hail Mary victory over the Wisconsin Badgers, the Michigan State Badgers will surely see their No. 16 BCS ranking rise significantly in the Week 9 poll.
Michigan State has beaten a then-ranked No. 11 Michigan and a No. 5-ranked Wisconsin in consecutive weeks, and the Spartans have a huge opportunity to land their third straight win over a ranked opponent next week against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Clemson
After a big 59-38 win over North Carolina, the Clemson Tigers will see a jump in BCS rank after Oklahoma's loss, Wisconsin's loss and Boise State's struggles against Air Force.
If the numbers fall into place right, Clemson could jump from No. 7 in the BCS ranking all the way up to No. 4.
This would make them the biggest winners of the week, as they will jump into the top five of the BCS rankings.
Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State did what they had to do against Missouri, winning 45-24. They will jump in-state rival Oklahoma to the No. 3 spot after Oklahoma's loss to Texas Tech.
Oklahoma State will have a chance to play for the BCS title after LSU and Alabama meet on November 5th, and would give one of the two undefeated teams a loss.
The BCS championship game will be a big time showdown with Oklahoma in the final game of the regular season.
If Oklahoma State can run the table up until the season-ending game against Oklahoma, it will make the in-state rivalry game that much bigger, and a must-see by any football fan.
