Cristiano Ronaldo Video: Watch Real Madrid Star Net Nifty Hat Trick vs. Malaga
Real Madrid superstar striker Cristiano Ronaldo found the net three times in the span of 15 minutes on Saturday against Malaga. The goals brought Ronaldo's total to 10 in eight league games, which represents more than one-third of Los Blancos' scoring output.
The first goal came after a brilliant cross from fellow forward Angel Di María, who floated a pass over two Los Boquerones defenders and right onto Ronaldo's left foot, which he used to easily tap it past Malaga goalkeeper Ruben.
His second tally was more of an individual effort. He made one defender look silly with a quick deke and the rest of Malaga's back line had no intention of attempting to defend him, so he just ripped a shot past Ruben from just inside the 18-yard box.

Ronaldo made it 4-0 in the 28th minute off a corner. Sergio Ramos headed it back in Ronaldo's direction, and he awkwardly contorted his body enough to get a foot on it and flick it past the keeper. It was the last goal Real Madrid would score as it eased off the gas with victory ensured.
The one thing all three goals illustrated was the Portugal national team member's amazing composure in front of goal. When a player has as much confidence as Ronaldo, the game slows down which allows them to make difficult plays look ordinary.
Over the last six seasons, Ronaldo has scored 210 goals across all competitions, including 56 last season. He's one of the most feared players in the world, and if an opposing defense keeps him off the score sheet, it's a major accomplishment.
However, you can't overlook the contributions of his teammates. Di María's pass on the first goal couldn't have been placed in a better spot, and Ramos' header back across the box gave Ronaldo the opportunity to score even though he couldn't get much power on the shot.
The win moved Real Madrid into first place in La Liga, with Barcelona and Levante still to play on Sunday. It's expected to be a two-horse race between Los Blancos and L'equip blaugrana once again this season and the former's chance will rely a lot on Ronaldo.
Thankfully for them, there are few other players more dependable than the 26-year-old phenom.
