Manchester United vs. Manchester City: Devils Will Show Who Is Manchester Bully

Richard LangfordOct 22, 2011

Manchester City has closed the gap on their United neighbors, but the Red Devils are going to show them that that gap still exists. The two will meet at Old Trafford on October 23rd, and Man U will win by two goals.

Let's take a look at how this will happen, and the statement that will be made.

What's at Stake

Real Betis V Real Madrid - Laliga Ea Sports

This game is for more than just Manchester bragging rights. It is for first place in the EPL. Neither side has lost an EPL match this year.

City has endured just one draw, while United has two on their resume. That makes this match the quest to be the lone undefeated team on the campaign and the clear front-runner for the title.

Recent History

Manchester United has won two out of the last three meetings between these two. They have also won the past three derbies between the two that were played at Old Trafford.

United suffered a 1-1 draw in their last EPL match to Liverpool, while City beat Aston Villa 4-1.

Prediction

Manchester United has looked completely unstoppable at times this campaign. They took some steps back when Wayne Rooney missed time with an injured hamstring, and they have yet to attain their previous consistency since he returned.

I think a lot of this is owed to the mid-campaign blues. United has been playing down to their opponents and at times have looked disinterested. They will be interested in this one.

I expect a fired up Red Devils team to put on their best effort in front of their home fans and reclaim first place in the EPL.
