Nicholas GossOct 22, 2011

Upsets make college football so exciting, and in Week 8 there are several teams with the chance to upset ranked teams and destroy perfect seasons and BCS title hopes.

The defending champion Auburn Tigers are one of the teams hoping to play the spoiler role this week, when they play LSU and try to demolish the Tigers' hopes of another BCS title.

Let's look at three teams with chances at an upset this week.

Auburn is back in the Top 25 this week at No. 19, and will try to upset the top-ranked LSU Tigers who are hoping to get back to the BCS title game in January.

Auburn will hope to play an LSU team looking ahead to their epic clash with Alabama on November 5, and hopes that possible suspensions for multiple LSU players doesn't affect the team in a negative way mentally on Saturday.

Auburn has nothing to lose against LSU, and are a talented team the top-ranked Tigers cannot take lightly on Saturday.

The Spartans enter this weekend with a chance to really improve their standing in the Big 10 conference with a matchup against the No. 4 Wisconsin Badgers.

Michigan State played well last week in a victory over in-state rival Michigan, and will need an even great effort to upset the Badgers on Saturday.

Wisconsin hasn't played many good teams this season, so they must take the Spartans seriously and realize they will be in for a tough game for four quarters.

The Washington Huskies are No. 25 in the country and are 5-1. They will be looking to build on their recent success against No. 6 Stanford, who are led by their Heisman Trophy caliber quarterback Andrew Luck.

If the Huskies can force some turnovers from Luck, they have a chance to upset the Cardinal.

Stanford has played well this season, but Washington is a quality opponent, and better than many of the teams the Cardinal have played this season.
