The time of year has rolled around again when the red and blue halves of the city will join forces as one to unite and do battle against a common evil...wait, that can't be right, can it?

Actually, yes, it can this time. Both United and City fans are being encouraged to ditch their old Carlos Tevez shirts in favour of a shiny new replica top, with the unwanted jerseys being given to charity.

On the field, however...I'm sure it will be a different matter.

First vs. second, newly-rich vs. dominant force, attacking pretenders to the throne vs. wily old kings of the domestic league.

Manchester United and Manchester City will most certainly do battle against each other on Sunday with local bragging rights, three points and a spot on top of the Premier League at the quarter-mark for the season all up for grabs.
