Racing Santander vs Espanyol
Racing Santander has yet to win a game either home or away so far this season and sit in 19th place as a result.
Espanyol has not tied a game yet but bounced back with an away win against Rayo Vallecano after being beaten by Real Madrid.
Prediction: Espanyol win 1-0
Sporting Gijon vs Granada CF
Sporting de Gijón is the only other winless team in what has been a distastrous campaign so far, having gained only one point from 7 games.
Granada CF held a solid Atlético Madrid squad in check and will be looking to steal some points from a side low in confidence
Prediction: Tie 1-1
Malaga vs Real Madrid
Málaga was surprised by Levante last week and failed to score a single goal. The team will have to increase its performance tenfold with a major test of its credentials to come against Real Madrid.
Real Madrid has been in good form both in the league and Europe as of late having scored 21 goals and conceded three in their last five games.
A tie wouldn't be surprising, but Real Madrid will probably edge it.
Prediction: Real Madrid win 2-1
Barcelona vs Sevilla
Barcelona continues to rack up the goals while only letting a few in. Against this opposition they will need to convert every chance possible in this game after wasting a few during midweek.
Sevilla has to worry a little coming into this game. The defense has been stingy so far but the offensive output is almost as meagre, averaging just over a goal a game. So far it has been okay, with the team sitting in fourth, but this is Barcelona at home.
Prediction: Barcelona win 3-1
Real Betis vs Rayo Vallecano
Real Betis continues to taper off after its hot start to the campaign, though the prospects against Real Madrid were not too promising. The team is still in a decent position in the league, but they followed four straight wins with three consecutive losses.
Rayo Vallecano will continue to try and stay out of the relegation zone by picking up points where it can.
Prediction: Tie 0-0
Real Sociedad vs Getafe
Sociedad will be glad to have a home game after the loss last week. They will be confident of picking up points against this side.
Getafe's away record has not been good so far and it doesn't look like that will change.
Prediction: Real Sociedad win 1-0
Osasuna vs Zaragoza
Osasuna has not lost at home so far this season and will look to continue that record this weekend.
Zaragoza has not won a game away from home so far this season but has shown a better ability to put the ball in the net and keep it out as opposed to their opponents.
Prediction: Tie-1-1
Atlético Madrid vs Mallorca
The Mallorca reacted as expected for a first game with a new manager and held Valencia to a draw at home.
Atlético Madrid was also involved in stalemate against Granada and results suggest the newly form team is still not running on all cylinders.
Prediction: Atletico Madrid win 2-1
Valencia vs Athletic Bilbao
Valencia is within three points of the top position but should be wary of losing all the points against this opposition.
Athletic Bilbao is on a two game win streak and will want to get back into the top half of the table in this game.
Home advantage could be vital here
Prediction: Valencia 2-1
Villarreal vs Levante
Villarreal is still stuck near the bottom of the table and the team may be stinging from its last minute loss in Europe mid-week.
It would be foolish to bet against Levante at this point as they are still unbeaten and have actually won two games away. The run may end at some point, but it probably will not be this weekend.
Prediction: Levante win 1-0
