LSU Nike Pro Combat Uniforms: Check out the Tigers' New Uniforms for Saturday

This Saturday when LSU takes on Auburn, the Tigers will look a little different than usual against the defending national champions.

Nike designed them unique Pro Combat uniforms.

If you haven’t seen them yet, be sure to check out the full set of pictures because they are really nice. Read on for a summary of these great uniforms.

Uniforms

LSU will be in all white uniforms with the classic purple and gold shoulder stripes. Nike was going for a cleaner, more polished look instead of going for pizzazz.

The one interesting feature on these is a subtle tiger print which you can see better on the next slide.

Tiger Print

It likely won’t be visible to the people in the stands or watching on television, but the print really sets off the jersey from the other LSU jerseys. It should make a good collector’s item.

Undershirt

Outside of using top-of-the-line materials, these undershirts are, for practical purposes, your normal undershirt. But Nike jazzed it up a bit and inlaid a picture of a tiger in it. No one will see it, but they still look great.

Helmet

These helmets once again continue with the tiger theme and have stripes running throughout them. The faceguard appears to be all black, and there is a tiger emblem just below “LSU” in big, block lettering.

Cleats

These cleats start out gold in the front and then fade to white. There is a purple Nike swoosh, and that purple is also on the bottom of the shoe near the heel.

Gloves

Everything about these uniforms has been great, but these gloves are simply amazing. Nike has been designing gloves to create a full image when players put their hands together as shown to the left, but nothing they've done up to this point can compete with these purple tiger eyes.
