UCLA vs. Arizona: Last-Minute Spread Info, Line, BCS Impact and Predictions

Andrew KulhaOct 19, 2011

The UCLA Bruins and Arizona Wildcats are meeting Thursday night it was is sure to be another intriguing and exciting Pac-12 matchup in prime time.

Even though the Bruins are 3-3 and the Wildcats are 1-5, there is still a lot to look at in this game, as well as a lot to play for on both sidelines.

The Bruins are coming off a rather disappointing loss to Stanford and the Wildcats are coming off a very disappointing season.

Arizona's only win has come against Northern Arizona in Week 1 of the season, so needless to say, both teams are looking for a win here.

Where: Arizona Stadium, Tucson, AZ

When: Thursday Oct. 20. 9 p.m. EST

Watch: ESPN, ESPN 3D, ESPN3

Spread: Arizona -4

Arizona is favored because it's a home game, but I don't necessarily agree.

Over/Under: 62

Both of these teams can score, but this over/under is just far too high.

Key Injuries:

UCLA: Cornerback Jamie Graham questionable (knee), guard Chris Ward questionable (shoulder), safety Tony Dye questionable (neck), defensive tackle Justin Edison questionable (concussion), safety Alex Mascarenas questionable (hand), cornerback Sheldon Price questionable (knee), Linebacker Glenn Love questionable (leg), place kicker Kip Smith questionable (hip), quarterback Richard Brehaut out until mid November (leg).

Arizona: Cornerback Trevin Wade questionable (shoulder), guard Chris Putton questionable (ankle), wide receiver Juron Criner questionable (knee), defensive tackle Justin Washington (knee).

BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications:

Right now there don't seem to be any implications in this game whatsoever. That being said, there is always pride on the line.

Keys to UCLA Win:

Quarterback Richard Brehaut needs to be the key to this game for UCLA. He hasn't put up incredible numbers this season and has been rather pedestrian. He needs to step up and have a big game.

Keys to Arizona Win:

Quarterback Nick Foles is the man. He's thrown for 2,255 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions on the year so far. He's a huge factor for Arizona, but he needs to lead this team.

Prediction:

I expect Arizona to use the home-field advantage to their advantage, ironically enough, They need to stop sliding and I think this will be the game they do.

Arizona: 24 UCLA: 17
