Tony Sparano: Dolphins Should Not Fire Coach If They Want to 'Suck for Luck'
According to Barry Jackson over at The Miami Herald, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano will be re-evaluated if the 0-5 team loses in Miami to the 1-4 Denver Broncos.
Jackson has a source close to team owner Stephen Ross who says that he is “very frustrated” with the Dolphins’ performance thus far this season and may be looking to make a change sooner than later.

"As Ross watched Monday’s game from a suite at MetLife Stadium, “at times he was very [ticked] off,” the associate said. “And other times he laughed it off because he’s sitting there with friends and it’s embarrassing to watch this when you’re there entertaining friends.”

It seems like Mr. Ross is confused so let me give him some advice.
I don’t believe it is a good idea towards the midpoint in the season to replace your coach.
Realistically we are looking at a Dolphins team that will be 0-6 after this week and quite likely 0-7 as they play the New York Giants following that.
What is the point of making the change now?
You are still going to have to pay Sparano and then find a new candidate to lead this team for the remainder of the season.
Your team has legitimately no shot at making the playoffs (well okay it is statistically probable but, come on.) so why not just be as bad as possible and get the ultimate reward for it come the offseason?
That’s right, I’m talking about Andrew Luck.
The team continues to play atrociously and Tony Sparano couldn't coach his way to a high school JV win. This is the perfect combination to land the best quarterback prospect since Peyton Manning.
Get rid of Sparano and all the dead weight on the coaching staff after the season. Until then, sit back, relax and enjoy this ongoing train wreck.
It’ll all be worth it next year.
