Key Storyline: How does BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall react to the talk around Provo that there is a quarterback controversy?
BCS Implications
For BYU, they are starting to put together a good season. However, they are still a long shot at getting inside of the BCS Top 25 standings. A win here will put them at 6-2 and closer to the No. 25-to-No. 20 range.
BYU Player To Watch: RB Mike Alisa
Last week against Oregon State, Alisa ran 20 times for 84 yards and a touchdown. He has a chance to be the best BYU option against Idaho State. BYU can expect to see Alisa run 20-plus times again for 100-150 yards and two scores.
Idaho State Player To Watch: WR Rodrick Rumble
The name alone should make you want to see what this guy is going to do. He is the FCS leader in receptions per game, while getting 14 for 166 yards in their last game against Weber State.
Key Matchup: RB Mike Alisa vs. the Idaho State defense
As it was mentioned above, Alisa had a big game for the Cougars in their win against Oregon State last week. It will be interesting if Idaho State centers their attention on defense on the running back.
If so, it will force BYU to explore their passing game in order to continue their winning streak.
Prediction: BYU 45 Idaho State 10
