Glad you asked.

The first one: Galati is a city in eastern Romania that sits on the Danube and the border with Moldova (hint: the Eastern side of the country). Here's a link.

The second one is more difficult: After looking at this Romanian pronunciation guide, the best we could come up with was "Oh-tsa-lool Ga-lats".

See that funky "I" at the end of Galati? That's apparently not pronounced. Go figure.

Why is this important? It's not, but there might not be much else to talk about when Otelul Galati hosts Manchester United today.

This is a classic early-round Champions League mismatch. Manchester United is one of the top clubs in Europe. Otelul Galati won the Romania league last season, a first in club history.
