NFL Predictions Week 7: 5 Games Sure To Be Blowouts
Week 7 of NFL action not only brings a few tough games but also favorable matchups for certain teams.
Some teams are in need of a rebound game after a Week 6 loss, while others are looking to continue their dominance on the gridiron.
Five games stand out this week that should not be an issue for good teams, but they will be a nightmare for the teams facing them.
These are the guaranteed Week 7 blowouts.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals
1 of 5Coming off a bye week, the Arizona Cardinals are looking to rebound from a rough 1-4 start and finally find their identity.
Unfortunately, they have to face the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are riding a two-game win streak and are shutting opponents down on the defensive end.
The Steelers defeated the Jaguars last week. Though not a blowout, they took care of business and made rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert's day one he will want to forget.
Pittsburgh's last two games were easy wins, as the teams they faced were far inferior.
And this week brings another weak team.
The Steelers should be able to run and pass all over the Cardinals' defense, just as the Minnesota Vikings did in Week 5.
On the other side, the Pittsburgh defense will give Kevin Kolb a long day under center.
It doesn't help the Cardinals' case that in their last game, they were thwarted by the lackluster Minnesota Vikings.
Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings
2 of 5It's the tale of two opposites this year, as the Green Bay Packers are flying high with a 6-0 record and are the only undefeated team left in the NFL.
The Vikings, on the other hand, are coming off a blowout loss to the Chicago Bears, during which they replaced Donovan McNabb with rookie quarterback Christian Ponder.
If the Vikings plan to keep Ponder in the game versus the stout defense of the Packers, look for a feeding frenzy.
The Packers are led by the best player in the NFL right now in Aaron Rodgers.
Look for him and the Packers to pick apart the defense of the Vikings, who are a lowly 1-5 coming into the game.
This could be the biggest blowout of Week 7, all factors considered.
St. Louis Rams at Dallas Cowboys
3 of 5They now look to rebound and get back in the win column.
The Cowboys and Tony Romo have been a roller coaster of a team. They want to silence the critics with a victory, and what better team to face than the 0-5 St. Louis Rams?
To the Rams' credit, they have been playing one of the toughest schedules to date, but coming out without a victory does not help the morale of the team.
Romo is not looking to lose yet another close game. He will come out firing with an offensive powerhouse that will finally be used to its design.
The Rams will be the victims of this comeback game for the Cowboys and come out crawling with an 0-6 record.
Indianapolis Colts at New Orleans Saints
4 of 5Once again, another rebound game for a great team.
The Saints were shocked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6 and will not fall two weeks in a row, especially against the 0-6 Indianapolis Colts.
The winless Colts are looking to notch a victory in the win column, but they face a devastatingly great offensive power led by All-Star Drew Brees.
Brees and the Saints have too much pride to lose two games in a row to weak teams, so look for the explosive offense to go wild on the Colts.
The game will be a blowout, and the Colts will remain without a win.
Baltimore Ravens at Jacksonville Jaguars
5 of 5Monday Night Football.
What better way to award arguably the best defense in the NFL than to give them a chance at a rookie quarterback?
The Ravens will be all over rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert and will cause him to make many mistakes during the game.
These mistakes will be capitalized on by an offense led by running back Ray Rice.
Just like the Steelers did last week, the Ravens will not allow the Jaguars to produce offensively. Joe Flacco should be able to help his team find the end zone multiple times.
A blowout in prime time. What could be better for the Ravens?
