NCAA College Football Predictions: Top 5 by Season's End
With the BCS Rankings finally out, we can now legitimately assess teams' chances of making a run at the National Championship game.
Everyone loves bowl games (not necessarily the system), and all five of these teams, along with others will be in the mix come December.
These top five predictions are radical and crazy, but yet still sane and sensible.
If you disagree, be sure to comment below as a case can be made for several teams.
No. 5: Boise State Broncos
1 of 5This one isn't crazy, and it's about what you'd expect.
The bottom line is that Kellen Moore and Boise State aren't going to see very much movement in the polls. They have a cupcake rest of the schedule and will coast to another undefeated season.
Moore's name will be thrown in Heisman conversations, but he won't be one of the finalists as Boise State continues to dominate the rest of their conference.
The lack of legitimately tough games that the Broncos play always comes back to bite them, and this year is no exception.
No. 4: Wisconsin Badgers
2 of 5Wisconsin sees little movement as they jump two spots in the BCS Rankings by the season's end.
Russell Wilson is named one of the Heisman Finalists as he leads the Badgers to key wins over Michigan State, Penn State, and Illinois.
The Badgers finish the season undefeated and feel robbed of their should-be slot in the National Championship game.
No. 3: Oklahoma State
3 of 5After trouncing Kansas State and taking down the mighty Oklahoma Sooners on the last game of the season, the Cowboys jump to No. 3 in the rankings.
The duo of Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon proves to be too much for the rest of the Big-12. Weeden's name gets tossed around for Heisman consideration but doesn't make the cut as a finalist.
Blackmon leads Oklahoma State to a showdown with Wisconsin in the Orange Bowl, where the 'Boys emerge victorious.
No. 2: Clemson Tigers
4 of 5Tajh Boyd and the Clemson Tigers run the table led by Boyd's strong arm and dexterity on the field.
He ultimately takes home the Heisman Trophy as the Tigers run by Georgia Tech, and in their last game of the season, beat South Carolina and leap to No. 2 in the rankings where they are set to play in the National Championship game.
Super freshman Sammy Watkins continues to haul in passes and Andre Ellington continues to run wild. Clemson proves their worth down the stretch and finally gets their shot.
No. 1: LSU Tigers
5 of 5The Tigers remain undefeated as they take down Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas.
They continue to prove they are the best team in the country as their absolutely stingy defense shuts teams down time and time again. LSU gets their expected shot in the National Championship.
However, Jarret Lee and Tyrann Mathieu come up short in the National Championship game as they fall to Tajh Boyd and the Clemson Tigers.
