ESPN BCS Countdown Show 2011: Start Time, Hosts and Weekly Schedule

Zachary D. RymerOct 16, 2011

At long last, the first BCS rankings for the 2011 college football season are going to be released tonight.

The further good news for college football junkies is that the rankings are going to be revealed live on ESPN's "BCS Countdown." This will happen tonight and every Sunday from here until the end of the season.

If this sounds like a hot ticket to you, you've come to the right place. Below is a rundown on everything you need to know about ESPN's live revelations of the BCS rankings.

How Does It Work?

"BCS Countdown" will touch on a number of different priorities. Chief among these, of course, are the rankings themselves, which are traditionally revealed in backwards order from No. 25 all the way down to No. 1.

According to SportsVideoGroup.com, much of the show's other focus will revolve around ESPN's stable of analysts breaking down the rankings from a variety of angles. With a little help from the touchscreen, ESPN's favorite toy, they will tell you why LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and all the others are ranked where they are ranked.

Also playing a major role will be Brad Edwards, who is billed as ESPN's BCS expert. He will provide in-depth analysis of the rankings, and will also offer projections for all 35 bowl games, including the five BCS bowl games.
