BCS Rankings Week 8: What the Twitterverse Is Saying About the AP, Coaches Polls
The Twitter world is the quickest and fastest way to get any type of news. If you follow the right people, you will likely get information before many of your friends.
With the BCS rankings set to come out tonight, the anticipation is building. The USA Today and AP Polls have just been released, and as usual, Twitterverse is buzzing with reaction.
Here are the best tweets in regards to the two polls that were just released.
Georgia Jumps Back into the Rankings
1 of 7One Georgia fan was extremely excited to have her Bulldogs back in the Top 25. Even excited enough to add a bunch of "o's" onto what appears to be a way of saying let's go. Either way, the Bulldogs are back in the rankings.
leggooooo dawgs! 22nd in #AP & 24th in #Coaches Poll:)
Boise St. Gets a Number 1 Vote
2 of 7This fan seems a little upset that Boise State got a vote for No. 1 over Wisconsin. He even goes so far as to say you must be high. I don't know who gave Boise St. the No. 1 vote, but he better stay away from this guy.
Boise got a number 1 vote in the AP Poll today over Wisconsin #AP #Youmustbehigh
The Big East West
3 of 7With recent talks of the Houston Cougars moving to the Big East, one clever man in the Twitter world made a funny about the Cougars moving up in the rankings in both the AP and USA Today Polls.
And the Big East West Houston Cougars are 20 & 21 #eatemup RT @evansmith: Texas, Baylor out of @USATODAY coaches poll
The Coaches Are Idiots
4 of 7This man seems a little upset that Michigan, Illinois and Georgia Tech are still ranked. They did all lose, but were all undefeated coming into the game. Why should a one-loss team be dropped out of the polls completely, I will never know. This guy seems to have an idea.
The coaches poll is ridiculous. Did any of the coaches even watch highlights? Mich, Ilinios, ga tech still ranked, Really? All lost & ugly
SMU Ahead of Texas
5 of 7Adding Houston and SMU may help the Big East. They may even be near the top of the league if they join. This tweeter points out that SMU is ahead of Texas in both polls. That has to sting for a Mack Brown led team that may not even be one of the best five teams in the state of Texas.
#SMU received more votes than #Texas in both the Ap Poll (19-12) and the Coaches Poll (27-26)
SEC Dominance at the Top
6 of 7We all know the SEC is good, but this guy makes an excellent point as to just how good the conference has been over the years.
RT @SECPRGuy: Last 11 times any conference has had top 2 teams in AP poll, they've come from #SEC. LSU-Alabama are 1-2 this week.
There Is No God
7 of 7Apparently there is no God since Kansas State is ranked ahead of Nebraska. I am guessing this guy is a Cornhusker fan and probably a die-hard one.
KState being ranked ahead of Nebraska enforces the belief that there is no god #AP
