Wisconsin Football: 5 Things to Watch When the Badgers Host the Hoosiers
After a well-deserved bye week, the fourth ranked Wisconsin Badgers are back at it this weekend when they play host to the Indiana Hoosiers.
For those of you who don't remember, the Badgers slaughtered Indiana last season, 83-20.
With first-year quarterback Russell Wilson at the helm of an even more potent offense this time around, can Wisconsin repeat their performance from a season ago?
Here are five things to watch during this year's homecoming game.
Heisman Campaign
1 of 5Quarterback Russell Wilson entered the season with a lot of hype and loads of potential.
Six weeks into it, he's a Heisman Trophy front-runner.
All eyes will be on the first-year transfer this week and beyond.
How will he fare?
Rust?
2 of 5Wisconsin entered their bye week riding high with a 5-0 record and a blowout victory over the new kid on the Big Ten block in front of a national TV audience.
Will they come off of their rest still firing on all cylinders, or will they suffer from a bit of a bye week hangover?
James White
3 of 5The Badgers began the season with two elite running backs.
Six weeks into the 2011 campaign, junior Montee Ball has established himself as the No. 1 option in the Badgers' backfield.
How will James White respond?
Will he continue to be an effective runner when called upon, or will he fall by the wayside?
Scoreboard
4 of 5A season ago, the Badgers' offense gouged the Hoosiers for 83 points.
Indiana is still a bad football team, but they've been much more competitive in 2011.
Can Russell Wilson and the Wisconsin offense run off another record setting day, or will the Hoosiers keep it close?
Curse Words
5 of 5Head Coach Bret Bielema and Athletic Director Barry Alvarez penned a letter this week asking student season ticket holders to abandon their use of four-letter words.
Anybody who's ever been to a Badger game knows that R-rated chants are ingrained in Camp Randall's culture.
Will fans heed the call of the faces of Wisconsin football, or will they continue on with tradition?
