NFL Picks Week 6: Who Will Win This Week's Divisional Matchups?
There is nothing better than a heated division rivalry. Divisional matchups are some of the toughest games to predict, because not even elite teams are immune to falling. Last week we saw the Saints, whose Super Bowl hopes are still intact, barely escape with a win against a Panthers team who has only won one game this season.
This week features four divisional matchups, all of which hold major implications within the division standings. Here is how this week's divisional matchups look like they are going to shake out.
Panthers vs. Falcons

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Pick: Panthers
The Falcons won't have Julio Jones this week and they couldn't pick a worse time to play the Panthers. The Panthers are bursting with confidence. Even though they took home an "L" last week against the Saints, they are starting to believe they can hang with anyone in the NFC South.
Cam Newton is downright unbelievable. Though he's not cranking out 400-yard games on a routine basis, he continues to dazzle us every week. As a rookie, he's the leader of the offense and one of the most exciting players in the league. It's odd, but Matt Ryan may be the worst quarterback in the division right now. Taking down the vulnerable Falcons would be a huge statement win for the young Panthers.
Pick: Eagles
The Eagles have the No. 1 rushing team in the league, the No. 8 passing team in the league and allow just 211.8 passing YPG. Even so, stats aren't everything. They aren't getting wins and their coach's livelihood is on the line.
The Redskins have come out swinging, but this will be the week where the Eagles start fighting their way out of a corner. They have all the talent in the world. If they can fluster Rex Grossman early and unleash their offense, they should be able to come away with a victory.
Saints vs. Buccaneers
Pick: Saints
The Bucs are coming off a 45-point loss and may be without the services of their feature running back. It's hard to say how they'll respond, but we know the Saints are going to show up. The Bucs have been relatively successful against the Saints recently, but they are still licking their wounds after last week's beatdown.
This matchup will be telling of Tampa Bay's character. How will they respond with their back against the wall? While bouncing back for a huge, season-defining victory is a possibility, a more a likely scenario is them being put in the ground for the second week in a row.
Dolphins vs. Jets
Pick: Jets
The Dolphins are starting Matt Moore. We could stop this discussion right there, but I suppose some analysis is required. The Dolphins have a shot at taking advantage of a porous Jets' run defense, but Daniel Thomas isn't exactly going to take over this game.
Though the Jets are vulnerable, they aren't going to surrender a win to an 0-4 Dolphins team in front of the entire nation. They want to get back to New York Jets football, and Miami is an even better scapegoat than Derek Mason.
