College Football Rankings: Nebraska and 3 Most Overrated Teams in Top 25
The college football top 25 is slowly weeding out the pretenders. However, they have a lot of weeding left to do. Here are the most glaring examples.
No. 11 Michigan
The Wolverines have put up eye-popping stats en route to going 6-0. However, they haven't played anyone. Michigan's one win of note is against Notre Dame, and the Irish beat themselves in that one just as much as Michigan beat them.
This is a horrible year for the Big Ten. I actually think Michigan will go undefeated. And, when that happens, we will all have to wait for them to get destroyed in a bowl game to see just how overrated this mediocre team is.
No. 13 West Virginia
West Virginia is throwing the ball all over the place and putting points up in bunches. They are averaging just over 40 points a contest. This offense makes them a solid team, but they are not the 13th best team in the country.
Their one game against a team in the top 25 resulted in a 47-21 loss at home to LSU. West Virginia's weak defense was wildly exposed in that one. That defense is going to cost them down the stretch and they will pick up one or two losses to teams they are heavily favored to beat.
No. 14 Nebraska
Nebraska's defense is awful. This team does not belong in the top 25, let alone the Top 15.
This team picked up some decent wins against Washington and Ohio State, but both of those games came at home and they allowed 38 and 27 points, respectively.
Nebraska is a one dimensional team. When they face good competition they are unable to get stops and when they attempt to pass they completely unravel.
