BCS Rankings 2011: Oregon and 3 Teams That Will Boost BCS Chances This Week
The following three teams are going to elevate their status in the eyes of voters this week.
The top of the polls are crowded with really good teams. Schools have to take advantage of every opportunity to impress that they can.
These schools will do just that.
No. 11 Michigan
Michigan is an impressive 6-0 this season. In those six wins, they have many dominating victories.
However, none of those victories have come against a Top 25 team. They will finally register their first victory against a Top 25 team when they take down their rival Michigan State.
Michigan is going to run all over the Spartans. They will wear them down and pull away late.
No. 9 Oregon
Oregon will be playing their first ranked team since their opening game loss to LSU.
They will be playing this game without their star running back LaMichael James, and that is what is going to make this big victory so impressive.
Arizona State has a dynamic passing offense, but Oregon will have much more success against that offense than ASU is going to have against Oregon's offense.
This game should be high-scoring, with Oregon pulling away big late.
No. 8 Clemson
Clemson has an impressive resume. They rattled off three straight wins over Top 25 teams—including a 23-3 victory over Virginia Tech.
They are missing one thing, though, and that is a blowout victory against a decent team. They will do just that against Maryland.
Clemson will overwhelm this team on offense and defense and win by more than 30.
