Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
1. Raw Walkout
There is thunder in paradise, folks, and this time, it has nothing to do with Hulk Hogan (Google it, kids). The WWE stars have banded together, minus the faces, and have voted down to Triple H remaining the COO of the WWE and walked out of Raw last week.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Will there be a Raw Supershow tonight?
Our Take: Of course there will be a show tonight, but there has been talk that the stars will picket outside the building like it’s a strike. We can only hope that they’re out there in their wrestling gear.
Hype Meter: 10 out of 10
This storyline has more turns than a country road, and it's keeping people interested to say the least. While the storyline is convoluted, the WWE is succeeding in making the shows leave the fans wanting to know what happens next.

2. Vengeance 2011
With more questions than answers after Hell in a Cell and the subsequent walkout, there is much to be figured out before WWE puts on their second PPV of October.
Tonight will be the first show to answer all of the fans' questions about where the WWE goes from here, but there is a feeling around the IWC that we will be without our answers for a long time.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: What will happen to Triple H?
Our Take: It looks like Triple H is on his way to being Future Endeavored, and thus, John Laurinaitis will be appointed as the new acting COO. If that does come to fruition, expect Triple H, Kevin Nash, The Miz and R-Truth to form an alliance. Hmmmm.
Hype Meter: 6 out of 10
This has the potential to be much higher depending on how the WWE plays their cards over the next two weeks, but as it stands, there are just too many questions that have to be answered for me to get that excited about this PPV.

3. Big Names Rumored for Survivor Series besides John Cena and The Rock
There are rumors swirling about the new emphasis on Survivor Series from the WWE, and the show may start the return process of a few major WWE legends.
If the WWE can turn Survivor Series into a major event, Vince McMahon can sell the product to a wider audience and impress more corporate sponsors.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Which stars will return?
Our Take: While everyone knows by now that The Rock is returning in preparation for his feud with John Cena culminating with a WrestleMania battle, there have been other names rumored to be included in this plan. Names like Stone Cold, Mick Foley and the Undertaker are just three of the countless possibilities the WWE could have up their sleeve.
Hype Meter: 10 out of 10
Anytime the WWE goes into the legends file and pulls out wrestlers from the past who can still wrestle, it’s a plus for the hardcore fans. If any of the stars mentioned before were to return, it would be instant joy for the old school fans of the WWE.

4. Hulk Hogan, Vince Russo and TNA
That’s right, folks. In one week, TNA wrestling took a giant step forward by demoting terrible head writer Vince Russo, but immediately took a huge step back by signing Hulk Hogan to another contract.
While the Hogan news is frustrating, the idea of Vince Russo no longer pretending to have his finger on the pulse of the wrestling fans is a great sign for TNA’s future.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Will TNA become real competition for WWE?
Our Take: While it may be a slow process, TNA has the talent and the cable backing to remain on television for long enough to make a run at WWE the same way WCW did before. If the storylines get better, WWE will have serious competition.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 10
The idea of taking Vince Russo out of the equation as the lead writer made this news a 10 out of 10 for TNA, but the signing of Hulk Hogan makes this news all that much more sour.

5. Big Push for CM Punk
The WWE fanbase has believed CM Punk deserved a major push for a long time now, and with the sales of his merchandise forcing Vince McMahon to take notice, it’s almost CM Punk’s time.
Punk is in line for a title run that could be a lengthy one, and expect a heavy dosage of Punk in main events for the WWE.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: When will the burials end and his push begin?
Our Take: It’s about time Punk got the kind of backing he needed to succeed in the WWE and in the wrestling business, and it’s just a matter of time before he becomes one of the WWE legends with 10 title runs.
Hype Meter: 10 out of 10
For the fans of CM Punk and what he is doing for the WWE and wrestling in general, this is the best possible news. When all of the shoot promo and Money in the Bank hype started and Punk wanted change, this is what he was talking about.

6. Sheamus as World Champion
With another loss to Mark Henry, it looks like Randy Orton is out of the World title picture for the time being. So who goes after the title?
If the WWE goes through with their current plans, it could be the Great White Sheamus who starts to feud with Henry again.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Can Sheamus carry the SmackDown brand?
Our Take: There has been nothing that we have seen as fans yet to say that Sheamus can't lead the SmackDown brand. Not only is Sheamus good on the mic, his gimmick is working and his style in the ring of an athletic big guy is what WWE loves.
Hype Meter: 7 out of 10
I went all the way up to a seven on the meter because it’s good to see other people in the World title picture besides Randy Orton. Plus, Sheamus does have some cool moves and a great gimmick. Good move by WWE if they follow through.

7. The Rise of Zack Ryder
There is no greater star in the WWE right now than Zack Ryder, and if his merchandise sales are any inclination of how people feel, he will be receiving a major push in the near future.
The internet sensation already has droves of fans despite hardly ever appearing on Raw, and the WWE has taken notice of his ability to get over with the crowd.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Can Zack Ryder maintain this level of crowd reactions?
Our Take: Ryder has become an internet sensation and he deserves a huge push, but whether or not the novelty of his gimmick will wear off is a big question. While I like Woo Woo Woo’n as much as the next guy, will it last?
Hype Meter: 8 out of 10
There hasn’t been a wrestler who has risen to glory in the WWE the way Ryder has, and he really is the embodiment of the Reality Era we are entering as wrestling fans. All of the change is a positive, and Ryder is benefiting big.

8. No More Great Khali
It’s over. All of the five star matches and classic feuds the Great Khali had in the WWE are no more. Oh wait…
With the Great Khali leaving the WWE to pursue a movie career, the company is not left missing an immobile giant who made everything awkward. Nope, Mark Henry is still there.
Question on Everybody’s Mind: Why did it take this long?
Our Take: You better stop talking ugly on this former World Heavyweight Champion, and there is a good chance that this isn’t the last time you see the giant in the WWE. While Khali is going away for now, the WWE loves big guys too much to let him stay away for too long.
Hype Meter: 10 out of 10
The Great Khali was a mixture of Kevin Nash walking to the ring and Mark Henry in the ring, and the WWE couldn’t be happier to get rid of this wrestling nightmare.
