BCS Rankings 2011: Oklahoma State and 3 Teams Who Will Be Ranked Too High

We are one week away from the first BCS rankings of the 2011 season, and one can already smell the BS that is the BCS.

Here is Oklahoma State and the three teams who will be over-ranked when the BCS rankings are released next Sunday, October 16.

Clemson

Clemson is a team that has had a good year and will be ranked too high in the BCS system due to them being in first place in a BCS conference school.

Being in first place in the ACC shouldn't give a school such an advantage, as the ACC has only three strong teams mixed in with some good poor teams as well.

Clemson being ranked anywhere higher than No. 8 will be too high, and show why the BCS is a failure of a system.

Michigan

Michigan being anywhere near the Top 10 will be laughable as their schedule thus far is laughable.

Not only has Michigan played so-so teams all season long so far, they were at home in five of their first six games, having their first road game yesterday at Northwestern.

Having this kind of cup cake schedule doesn't warrant a team being ranked in the top 10 in any poll let alone the one that conquers all, the BCS.

We'll see what Michigan is really made of with three of four games on the road, and two ranked opponents in there as well.

Oklahoma State

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are 5-0 and have an impressive win at then No. 8 Texas A&M, but otherwise haven't done much besides that.

With the possibility of Oklahoma State being ranked in the Top 5 in the BCS, I feel that that would be way too high for a team with one big win to their credit.

If they can beat a hungry Texas team next week, maybe I'll change my tune, but as of right now, having Oklahoma State in the Top 5 is as bad as the BCS can get.
