Tim Tebow has replaced Kyle Orton as the Denver Broncos quarterback. Many feel that this change is long overdue, as Orton has really struggled to move the offense.
In the offseason, the Broncos were considering making a trade involving Kyle Orton, however, that trade never panned out and Orton was named the starter. This enraged the majority of the Broncos fanbase, as they wanted to see Tim Tebow in action.
The Denver coaching staff felt that Orton was the best quarterback on the roster. He has a long track record of playing decent football. He is known as a game manager, who excels at protecting the football. Orton's playing style fit perfectly in with the coaching style of John Fox.

However, Orton has had a terrible start to the season, already registering seven interceptions. The turnovers and ineffective play have finally earn Orton a spot on the bench.
Tebow may not be the prototypical pocket passer, but he has shown that he can win football games. He took over the final three games of his rookie season, going 1-3. However, Denver was very competitive and close to winning each of those games.
In that limited action, Tebow did a nice job throwing the football. He even recorded a 300-yard passing game versus the Houston Texans. Tebow isn't seen as a polished passer, an area he needs more time to develop. However, he has shown signs of promise.
Tebow's insertion into the lineup is sure to spark some excitement for a team playing uninspired football. Tebow is a fierce competitor that plays with an infectious attitude. The entire Broncos offense will feed off of his desire to win.
Denver has now entered the Tim Tebow era, whether it's a good thing or not, we will find out.
