Texas A&M vs. Texas Tech: Last-Minute Spread Info, Line and Predictions
The No. 24 Texas A&M Aggies will meet up with the Texas Tech Red Raiders in what is sure to be another great game featuring the two former conference rivals.
The Aggies are coming into the game 2-2 and are desperate for a win to get them back on track. After starting the season strong and looking like a potential contender, A&M has dropped two in a row, including a loss to Oklahoma State and a second-half meltdown loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks.
On the other side of the field, the Red Raiders are coming into the game 4-0, but face the toughest game on their schedule yet. Their wins over Texas State, New Mexico, Nevada and Kansas have been impressive, but they are going to have to prove they are worth their weight in gold with a win over the ranked Aggies.
The Aggies desperately need a win to stop their landslide fall, and the Red Raiders need one to essentially validate their hot start.
Where: Jones AT&T Stadium, Lubbock, TX
When: Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. EDT
Watch: FX
Spread: Texas A&M -9 1/2
This game may be a little bit closer than expected. The Aggies have given up two games in a row now, and after last week's meltdown, I don't think their confidence is all too high.
Over/Under: 71
As much as these two can do offensively, this is not a video game. I'd take the under on this game.

Key Injuries:
Texas A&M: Defensive lineman Jonathan Mathis questionable (leg), tight end Michael Lamothe questionable (concussion), defensive back Steven Terrell doubtful (leg), defensive back Steven Campbell doubtful (leg).
Texas Tech: Defensive tackle Pete Robertson probable (shoulder), linebacker Tanner Foster questionable (knee), wide receiver Darrin Moore doubtful (knee).
BCS/Top 25 Implications:
The Aggies have been sliding down the rankings for the past two weeks, so they desperately need this game to get themselves back on track. The Red Raiders, on the other hand, could move into the Top 25 with a win.
Keys to Texas A&M Win:
Senior quarterback Ryan Tannehill needs to protect the ball for the Aggies to have a shot at winning this game. He's looked good at times, but then at other times he's looked lost. He's thrown six touchdowns and five interceptions so far this season, which just isn't getting it done.
Keys to Texas Tech Win:
Quarterback Seth Doege and the Red Raiders need to get an early lead and keep the Aggies on their downward slide. Doege can really light up the scoreboard and I think he will improve on his 1,315 yards and 14 touchdowns so far.
Prediction:
The Aggies just aren't as good as we thought they could be, and I don't think they will be able to stop the losing streak.
