College Football Picks Against the Spread: Rivalry Games That Will Get You Paid
Rivalry games are some of the most exciting matchups to watch, and wagering on them can make it that much better.
They are seemingly always close and unpredictable, often coming down to a final play that will determine who wins and who covers the spread.
I think there are some relatively "safe" plays on some big rivalry matches this week and, if you are going to bet the games, you should lean towards these teams.
Tennessee +2 vs. Georgia
Tennessee has a good offense, and this game is going to be a shootout between the schools.
While this isn’t an extremely historic rivalry, it is a match between two highly competitive SEC teams.
I like Tennessee at home here, and think that is going to be the difference-maker in this game. They easily covered the last time the two met in Knoxville.
Oklahoma -10 at Texas
The Red River Rivalry is the best in all of football.
It’s going to be great this year because the two teams are both highly ranked and undefeated.
I just think Oklahoma is the better team, has more experience and will be composed on the road.
Texas is using a tandem of inexperienced QBs who will be rattled by the Sooners defense, and Texas' offense will carry them to a big victory.
Texas A&M -9.5 at Texas Tech
Texas A&M has won the last two of these rivalry games, and I see them making it three-in-a-row on Saturday.
The game is in Lubbock this year, but that won’t matter for A&M. They are coming off two hard losses to Arkansas and Oklahoma State, and need to get a crucial victory here to right the ship.
I see them playing with a fire and not once letting up against the Red Raiders.
