College Football Picks Week 6: LSU and 3 Teams Ready for Big Statements
LSU, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are going to catch voters' eyes this week. And that is no easy task. It takes a little more to stand out this college season.
The performance of these three teams will be too impressive to ignore though.
No. 1 LSU over No. 17 Florida
LSU is trying to work their QB back into the offense and Florida will be trying to cope without theirs. This advantage clearly goes to LSU.
Of course, the biggest factor in this equation is not as much with the QBs involved, but with the defense one of them has to face.
Florida is going to throw true freshman QB Jeff Driskel out to make his first start against LSU's amazing defense. They are going to destroy the young QB.
I think Driskel will go onto be a very good QB, but he won't be on this day. LSU is going to win big.
No. 3 Oklahoma over Texas
The young Texas Longhorns are playing much better than expected. In their last two games, they have scored 86 points. This offense is clearly finding a groove.
However, they have not yet played a defense the caliber of Oklahoma's defense.
The best defense they have played is BYU, and they only scored 17 points on the Cougars. The Longhorns have yet to beat a team in the top 25.
They are going to get a lesson on what it takes to be a top team in this game.
No. 6 Oklahoma State
The high flying Cowboys will be taking on a Jayhawk team that has allowed 153 points in their last three games.
The Cowboys may eclipse 100 in this. Alright, that probably isn't realistic, but 60 is a real possibility. I'd actually go as far as to suggest Kansas should consider this a moral victory if they hold Oklahoma State under 50.
