Carlos Tevez: 5 Clubs That Should Be Interested in Signing the Argentinian

Chris SiddellOct 5, 2011

Carlos Tevez always generates a lot of interest from clubs around the world whenever the opportunity to sign him arises.

But which clubs really should be looking to take in the want-away Argentinian?

Manchester City and its managerial staff must be getting tired of Tevez and his antics, continuing after a long summer of transfer discussions.

As the "refuse to play" saga continues, we take a look at five clubs who could benefit greatly from having Carlos Tevez on their team.

5. Arsenal

Everybody is aware of the start Arsenal have had and their continued injury problems with fragile players like Van Persie.  What they need is a player who can take over the mantle from Van Persie and become the main man.

That's exactly what Carlos Tevez wants, to be the main man.

He won't be kept out of the team by Gervinho and can help Arsene Wenger find that spark his team needs to kick start their season and start their climb back up the table.

The one problem with this move is the money.

Will Arsenal and Arsene Wenger be willing to pay the huge transfer fee and massive wages that will be demanded by City and Tevez?  I doubt it.

In need of a proven player who can change matches and turn 'round the team's fortune? Someone who already has Premier League experience? Look no further than Carlos Tevez.

Arsenal should be interested in signing him.

4. Paris Saint-Germain

The latest club to be taken over by incredibly wealthy men from the Middle East, they are starting a revolution that will make PSG great once again.

With the signing of Javier Pastore and the introduction of Leonardo as Director of Football, the club is already causing a stir in Paris, but the signing of Tevez would turn that stir into a whirlpool.

Carlos Tevez would dominate defences in the French Ligue 1, which is deemed as one of the weaker leagues when compared with other major European countries. And so, once again, he would be the centre of attention.

Money will not be as big of an issue here. The new owners seem to be of the same make as those at Manchester City, willing to spend big to be entertaining and winning.

The Parc de Princes would be full for the rest of the season, and with a couple more signings at the end of the season, PSG could become a force in next season's Champions League.

PSG definitely should be interested in Tevez.

3. New York Red Bulls

Still searching for their first ever trophy, the Red Bulls could do with some help.

Already having three designated players means they would need to do some renegotiations somewhere, but with the prospect of Carlos Tevez playing in the league, I'm sure even the MLS will help out!

With the arrival of the Cosmos on the scene, the Red Bulls need to stay ahead of the game and make sure they are the most attractive club for spectators and fans in the New York area.

The introduction of Tevez will do just that.

Backed by the money of Red Bull, perhaps Tevez is not the perfect marketing strategy in terms of the brand. But, as far as the club is concerned, Carlos Tevez would see the Red Bulls become as popular as the Galaxy on the international scene and bring in huge amounts of revenues, not to mention the tourists of New York flocking to games.

It would be a very difficult transfer to pull off, but with Tevez and his troubles well known in Europe, and if Manchester City are keen to see Tevez leave but not go to a rival European club, this could be their best option.

The Red Bulls should be very interested in the prospect of Tevez.

2. Real Madrid

One word: Barcelona.

How can anyone beat them?  What is it Real Madrid need to do?  Well, here's an idea. Sign Carlos Tevez.

Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo have linked up once before, and they were devastating together at Manchester United. Add in Kaka, Ozil and Benzema and Real Madrid will soon make that Manchester team look like amateurs.

Bringing in Tevez as another marquee signing will boost Madrid as they take on the might of Barcelona in La Liga once again.  Maybe with his help in the second half of the season, they can topple the Catalan giants and take the crown.

Mourinho is a strong manager and will have no problem with handling Tevez, and the Argentinian will thrive in the "bad guys" role Mourinho is creating for Madrid.

They had enough to win the Copa Del Rey last year, and with the addition of Tevez, they could go further and win La Liga.

Real Madrid should be interested in Carlos Tevez.

1. Inter Milan

5 of 5

Languishing at the wrong end of the Serie A table, having already lost their manager and star striker this season, Inter Milan really need something to happen, and fast.

The introduction of Claudio Ranieri as manager will see more stability in the formation and performance of Inter, which will no doubt see the team turn things around and rise back up the table.

But they really need a spark.

As with Arsenal, Inter need something to kick-start their season, and Tevez could be that man.  Inter have already been linked with Tevez on several occasions and will have no issues paying the Argentinian, especially as they have now lost Samuel Eto'o.

Tevez will come in and fill the gap left by Eto'o and become the toast of Inter if he makes the move and leads the Italian giants back to where they belong.

Inter should be interested in Tevez.
