BCS Rankings Projections 2011: Who's the BCS Going to Love and Hate?
During college football season, everybody has debates on which team should be ranked where. Who is overrated and who deserves more hype? It gives people something to talk about at work when their boss isn't around.
But the AP Top 25 Poll and the USA Today Coaches' Poll are just the beginning. The BCS rankings come out in two weeks, and that's when the real madness begins.
Who is the BCS going to hate, and who is the BCS going to love?
I believe that the top three teams in Alabama, Oklahoma and LSU will stay pretty much the same. It's hard to deny those three teams, as they are the most talented and for the most part have proven the most.
One team that will suffer is the Wisconsin Badgers. It's really a shame because they have one of the most talented teams in the country, but because of their weak non-conference schedule, it won't mean much. Unless some of the teams above them lose, Wisconsin will have no shot at the national championship.
The same thing goes for Stanford. The brutal performances from the Pac-12 aren't helping their case either.
The Clemson Tigers should get some love because of their play and their schedule. Beating three ranked teams in a row is no easy task, and they still have a couple of ranked opponents left. Clemson went from a nobody in the preseason to a respected favorite in the ACC.
Boise State is probably the team that will suffer the most, like always. This season the Broncos have only beaten one ranked team, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the rest are all cupcakes. What makes things worse is TCU lost and now Boise's only other ranked opponent is no longer ranked. So much for the Broncos having a shot at a national title this season.
There will be a lot of things changing once the BCS rankings are released, and people will either agree or disagree.
It's just another college football season.
Let the madness begin.
