Andrew Luck Video: Watch Luck Show off with Spectacular One-Handed Catch
Andrew Luck is trying to improve his draft stock by proving he can contribute to the team in multiple ways. Like Antwaan Randle El, Luck may find himself drafted higher by showcasing his versatile skillset.
Kidding, of course. Luck might be the closest thing we've ever seen to a lock at quarterback and while the gadget play that rendered him a spectacular one-handed grab is certainly not going to be the most important play he makes, it's definitely one for the highlight reel.
Luck offers everything you could ever want in an NFL quarterback. He's got the size, the huge arm, the moxie, the ability to make all the throws, a great presence in the pocket and as this clip clearly shows, underrated athleticism.
He's not Robert Griffin III, but Luck can move when he needs to. This play allowed him to put his wheels on display a little bit and his ability to finish the play and tap a foot in bounds was pretty impressive.
Trick plays are always refreshing and when a scenario arises where a quarterback is making a circus catch, nothing gets the sideline more excited.
What can't this guy do? We can almost pencil him as the No. 1 overall pick already. Unless a team like the Panthers, who have already made a significant investment in their quarterback of the future, ends up with the top pick, there is no way a team passes on him.
While it would be fun to see what elaborate gadget plays Cam Newton and Andrew Luck could concoct, it's safe to say that the only way those two are going to ever share a roster is if they happen to make the Pro Bowl in the same conference.
Stanford is rolling right now, and while some consider Luck crazy for returning to Stanford, it's easy to see he's having fun en route to what he hopes is a National Championship season.
