Premier League Transfers: Top 10 Rumors of the Day

The last day of September saw some interesting rumors crop up in light of the January transfer window that is still three months away.

It seems there has been no end to rumors even with the summer window now gone and they truly does not look to ever be a break in them either.

With that being said we take a look at the top 10 rumors from the end of September as we welcome October with a full slate of EPL action, starting with the Merseyside derby and ending with the North London derby.

Younes Kaboul to PSG

Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul admits to having turned down a move to the French club this summer as the new regime is attempting to return the capital club back to their former glory.

Despite wanting to remain at Spurs for now, if something changes he could be making the move this coming January or next summer.

Daniel Sturridge to Bolton

Owen Coyle has been desperate to get Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge back on loan after the youngster scored eight goals in 12 games at the Reebok last season.

However, according to the Daily Mail and comments from Chelsea Manager Andre Villas-Boas there is no way he will allow his starlet to leave Stamford Bridge:

Anzhi Makhachkala Wants Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Fabio Capello

After a summer spending spree that saw Anzhi Makhachkala make Samuel Eto'o the highest paid player in the world, they now are again making waves in the transfer scene.

Today it seems that, thanks to word of mouth from one of their current players, there is an interest in prying away Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard from their respective clubs as well as Fabio Capello from the English National Team.

While it is a stretch to say the least, it is interesting to see what people with money think they can achieve. I do not see Lamps or Stevie G leaving Chelsea or Liverpool to go after a Russian Championship.

Robin Van Perise to Manchester City

Arsene Wenger has warned Roberto Mancini off his captain Robin van Persie after the Italian already claimed both Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri over the summer.

With Carlos Tevez looking to make his exit from Eastlands in January, the Citizens are looking to revamp their attack with Arsenal's Dutchman in their sights.

Manuel Almunia Joins West Ham on Loan

Out of favor Arsenal keeper Manuel Almunia was thrown an emergency lifeline in the Npower Championship today.

The Spanish player has joined West Ham United on loan for the month of October.

Carlos Tevez to West Ham

It would make for a strange reunion if Carlos Tevez were to ever to return to West Ham United.

However, that has been the news today as Sam Allardyce and the Hammers have lodged a bid to take the want away striker on loan.

The wage load of Tevez though would more than likely kill the deal in the long run unless City agreed to pay part of the players £200,000 a week paycheck.

Jonjo Shelvey to Blackpool

Originally the deal that saw Charlie Adam come to Liverpool from the Seasiders was believed to have included Jonjo Shelvey moving on loan for the season.

It now seems that whether that is true no longer matters, as he is now on loan with them for the rest of the season.

David Beckham to QPR

David Beckham is again in the news as a rumored target for Queens Park Rangers.

The English playmaker would add another level to the hoops attack, but it remains to be seen if there would be a way to afford the wages for the former Red Devil.

Herold Goulon out of Rovers

Blackburn Rovers Herold Goulon is on his way out after he has been removed from the future plans of Steve Kean.

He has joined Championship side Doncaster and is likely to make a full move in January.

Reece Wabara Loaned to Ipswich

Manchester City youngster Reece Wabara has joined Ipswich Town on loan for the rest of the season.

The player is believed to be on his way to a starting place at City in the future, but for now he is set to hone his skills in the Championship.
