Alabama vs. Florida: Crimson Tide Are Safe from Gators' Upset
Alabama has the best kind of marquee matchup, the kind they are assured to win.
The Crimson Tide could very well move up a rung or two after facing a team as stout as the Florida Gators. Such things are being rewarded by voters. Just ask LSU.
The Tigers moved into the top spot after a dominating performance against West Virginia. The same kind of game is presented before Alabama, a team that resembles LSU in defensive presence.

I am not about to sit here and state the Florida Gators are a doormat, simply there to welcome Alabama into the BCS title game, because they aren't.
Will Muschamp has picked up where Urban Meyer left off, creating a culture of winning and accountability. I have no doubt that the Gators are in capable hands for the next few years.
Muschamp is on the right track in the manner in which to build a perennial powerhouse. The emphasis is on defense. But those Gators have a trick up their sleeve on offense. Charlie Weis will no doubt pull out the stops against Alabama, but will fall short.
There is no reason to think the Crimson Tide will succumb to complacency or offensive trickery. We were told that Arkansas had the offensive tools to put a scare into Bama last weekend.
The only thing scary about that was how well Alabama looked when charged with covering a prolific offense. The issue I have with the Gators is their reliance on Chris Rainey and Jeff Demps to do everything short of throw the ball.
The Tide's task is simple, contain those two monsters and fill in the gaps with their superb play. Alabama showed a great amount of confidence last week against Arkansas. This team is poised for great things going forward.
The one thing that can set them back is overlooking Florida. Nick Saban and the coaching staff simply won't allow that to happen.
