College Football Predictions Week 5: 3 Spreads That Will Be Easily Covered
Predicting whether or not a spread will be covered is always a tough task, but it's even harder in college football.
You've probably heard of the "any given Sunday" theory in the NFL.
Personally, I believe that "any given Saturday" is even more of a reality. Besides a few "cupcake" matchups, many teams in the BCS are very well matched.
Don't forget how home-field advantage plays into college football as well. A sure-fire winner could easily crumble up and roll over when facing a hostile road environment.
It's a tough sport to predict, but that's why we here at Bleacher Report do everything we can to help you out.
Here are three spreads that will be easy covers, and why:

Michigan -20 vs. Minnesota:
I have been extremely frank with my thoughts on the Wolverines. I think they are fake, and I don't think they will be able to put up the numbers they have been against good Big Ten teams. That being said, Minnesota is in no way a good Big Ten team. There is no way that the Gophers will be able to keep up with Denard Robinson and the offense, and Michigan's defense has been slightly improved.
Boise State -27 1/2 vs. Nevada
If Boise was playing last year's Nevada team then I would perhaps consider telling you to bet against them. Kellen Moore and the Broncos have been putting up some crazy numbers though. If Colin Kaepernick was still with Nevada then maybe, but the team without him is just not the same.
South Carolina -10 vs. Auburn
South Carolina turned the ball over enough last week to last them the whole season. Steve Spurrier should have his guys ready to go for this SEC matchup, and Stephen Garcia won't turn over the ball nearly as much. Offensively they will be much better, and defensively they are one of the best in the nation. Auburn will hang in there for a while, but it won't be enough against a clearly better Gamecocks program.
