Ibrahimovic's Revival

Ibrahimovic hadn't played since September 9th due to a thigh injury. He came back in a big way in this one.

Ibrahimovic was at the center of almost every Milan attack. Those attacks didn't amount to anything in the first half, but they took their toll and Milan turned them into two second-half goals.

Ibrahimovic scored the first on a penalty kick, and he assisted on the second with a gorgeous pass to Cassano.

Momentum for Milan

This was Milan's second straight win. They had a 1-0 win over Cesena in Serie A play. And while this streak is modest, it is impressive given Milan's amount of injuries.

Having players step in for injured players and be successful is huge for a squad's confidence and overall chemistry.

Milan is going to be a much better team in the long run as a result of this recent stretch of play.

Milan will return to Serie A play for their next two matches. They will take on Juventus on October 2nd and Palermo on October 15th.

They will return to Champions League play on October 19th against Bate. A match they should be able to win and take control of their group.
