Nevada vs. Boise State: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More
After having the inside track to run wild into a BCS Bowl, the Boise State Broncos were bucked by the Nevada Wolf Pack in an overtime thriller and had to settle for the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas.
This Broncos team has many of the same young men that suffered defeat last year and they certainly don’t forget it.
The Broncos were derailed by terrible field-goal kicking in that game and hopefully they won’t be faced with the same predicament.
Kyle Brotzman, the kicker who shanked two short FGs in the Nevada game last year, is gone but in his place the kickers this year have yet to try a field goal and have missed three of 17 XPs.
Colin Kaepernick, the dual-threat QB who led the Wolf Pack over the Broncos, is now with the San Francisco 49ers and the team isn’t close to being ranked this year after being No. 19 during last year’s game.
Continue reading to find out more about this intriguing rematch that will have BCS implications once again.

Spread: Boise State -27.5
Take Nevada with the points. These two teams always play each other close as evidenced by last years 34-31 result and 2009’s 44-33 Boise victory.
Regardless of personnel, the Wolf Pack boys step up and challenge Boise like no other. They played a high-scoring Texas Tech team close last week and lost by a single point.
Over/Under: 62.5
Go over for sure. Look at those last two results from these matchups and expect the same results.
These teams simply put up points in bunches and it will be going over 62.5 easily.
Key Injuries
OG Jake Broyles – QST (undisclosed): Coach Chris Petersen doesn’t expect his starting guard to play after suffering an injury last game, nor does he expect this next guy to see time against the Wolf Pack.
C Thomas Byrd – QST (knee): Matt Paradis is going to take his place and Byrd snapped his 36-game starting streak against Tulsa last week. Let’s see how these new kids on the line can handle protecting Kellen Moore.
TE Zach Sudfeld – OUT (leg): Senior starting TE Sudfeld snapped his leg against Oregon and will miss the remainder of the year. Stephen Jeffers will replace him.
WR Brandon Wimberly – OUT (abdomen): In one of the sad stories in college football, Wimberly was shot in the stomach this summer and may never play football again. He had a great sophomore year and was primed to have a breakout junior year.
BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications
Nevada is hoping to bust No. 4 Boise State’s BCS chances once again this season.
While the Wolf Pack isn’t ranked, a huge win over Boise would help it get back on track for a bowl appearance, as it is currently 1-2.
Boise should easily take care of this team however; as it realizes any loss this season will have it potentially out of the top 10 to 15 teams in the polls.
Keys to Nevada Win
Colin Kaepernick isn’t walking through that door, so Nevada needs to stymie the Broncos offense if it wants any chance to win this thing.
It needs to take advantage of injures along the Broncos' starting offensive line and hit, pressure and sack Moore.
Limiting big plays by doing that is Nevada's only chance to survive.
Keys to Boise State Win
Keep doing what you’re doing.
Boise has one of the most high-powered offenses in the country and has been getting it done defensively too.
Approach this game like every other and come out on top.
