Football, like any other sport, television show, or film, has its pros and cons.

We watch the game for its pros, but must simultaneously quell with the annoying cons.

The pros of the game are seemingly immeasurable, with excitement and entertainment being the first two that come to mind.

But the cons can be measured and I have attempted to rank 10 of them. Albeit some of you may disagree, but the following are the ten most annoying things about world football in no particular order.

Lack of Goal-Line Technology

Most people would agree that football needs goal-line technology. Surely Frank Lampard could endorse the bid to Mr. Blatter. 

Tightening Up the Shackles

Playing for draws is neither fun for the players, nor the fans. Just don't do it!

Faking Injury

Perhaps Barcelona star Pedro could go into acting after his football career. Unlike former Chelsea striker Vinnie Jones, Pedro's Hollywood career has overlapped with his career as a footballer.

The Sound of the Vuvuzela

Robert Green's howler during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, was only second to FIFA allowing vuvuzelas into the stadium.

Diving

It it looks like a dive, feels like a dive, or even slightly resembles a dive, it's probably is a dive. Can diving be prevented?

Yes. Bookings and fines will surely cut down the numbers of divers in football.

0-0 Draws

Watching an uneventful football match that ends 0-0 can be rather dull and irritating.

Time Wasting

Time wasting may be part of the game, but as a football fan it can get on your nerves. Especially when teams go the tactic with substantial time yet to play in the match.

The Word "Organized"

The word "organized" is often used to describe a stingy defence, but other words are far more accurate and more importantly, less annoying. "Negative" or "defensive" are surely better word choices, are they not?

Silent Stadiums

The supporters in the stands, whether home or away, can do a lot to sway the moment on the pitch. That being said, silent crowds often times result in unmemorable matches that lack intensity and competition.  

Bad Grass

In order for the game to be played the right way, a nice smooth natural surface is essential. Awful surfaces give the advantage to the less technical side, which also makes the match much less entertaining for the supporters.
