AP College Football Poll: The 3 Teams Most Likely to Fall Out of the Top 25
With the release of tomorrow's AP Poll, it gives us a chance to speculate on what teams will potentially fall out of the poll for the upcoming week.
Upsets among Top 25 teams have been few and far between so far this week, so there likely won't be a great deal of change, but here is a look at three teams that could find themselves on the outside looking in come tomorrow afternoon.
No. 24 Illinois
1 of 3Illinois came into the week sitting at the bottom of the AP Top 25 Poll, clocking in at No. 24. They did improve to 4-0 on the season, but did so in an unimpressive fashion, barely escaping Western Michigan 23-20.
A win is a win, and that's likely the most important thing for Illinois, but it could come with a trip out of the rankings.
No. 25 Georgia Tech
2 of 3There is a slight chance that Georgia Tech could fall out without losing.
A slight chance, but not likely.
With Florida State, Arkansas and Texas A&M already losing and another Top 25 team in West Virginia or LSU that will suffer a loss later on in the evening, these teams will likely slip in the polls but not all together fall out of the rankings.
With a couple new teams likely to be added, the Yellow Jackets could be squeezed out despite being 4-0 on the season.
No. 11 Florida State
3 of 3The Seminoles should be on the outside looking in, but will likely still receive enough votes to hang on.
Two straight losses, albeit to two very good teams, should knock Florida State from the polls.
Only four weeks into the season, a 2-2 team flat out shouldn't be ranked, no matter where they began the season in the polls.
I guess we will see how much the voters really pay attention.
