Chelsea vs. Swansea: Why Fernando Torres Will Be the Difference-Maker in EPL
Fernando Torres seems to be full of confidence and swagger, both of which he hasn’t had since coming to Chelsea. Maybe it’s because he is playing beside Nicolas Anelka, or maybe it’s because his manager believes in him. Both are both true, and as a result, Chelsea will be the biggest benefactor of the whole equation.
Torres was one of the premiere strikers in all of football before coming to Chelsea. It would be hard to believe that his game has peeked before the age of 27. He had a rough time adjusting, that’s all. Now, Torres leads the team in goals with two. If he can retain his consistent goal-scoring ability, Chelsea is looking at another English Premier League title.

People don’t talk about the Blues when discussing the best in the league. All we hear is how good Manchester United is and how improved Manchester City is.
Don’t forget about Chelsea. There are going to be there with United and City when the season is on the verge of ending.
If Torres is able to be consistent when given his opportunities, Chelsea may be No. 1 in the end when it’s all said and done.
He is the difference-maker.
Torres has been under heavy criticism for his play at Chelsea. It was a colossal disaster time after time for him last season. He would admit that he wasn’t right. He needs to understand that his play from last season is behind him. He shouldn’t allow those demons to haunt him in 2011-12.
Hopefully his quality start to the campaign will jump-start a bounce-back season for the 27-year-old. If that does happen, Chelsea and their fans will be smiling in the end.
Consistency is the only thing that will allow Torres to forget about last season. With two goals in six games, it has been a good start for Torres.
