College Football Picks Week 4: 3 Top 25 Teams That Will Prove Their Worth
And so another week comes, and we demand from dozens of teams to prove themselves. What have you done for me lately? That is the question that is forever asked in the NCAA.
There is hardly a sport more demanding on their teams to prove themselves on a game by game basis. With no playoff system, a team is demanded to nearly go wire-to-wire to just be in the conversation of best in the nation.
That may be the best part of collegiate football. Well, the tailgates are pretty nice too. No team can afford to take a weekend off. Injuries and excuses are for the weak. Those are better suited for the NFL.
Here are three teams that will prove themselves with big wins in Week 4. Remember, it's not that we don't trust they aren't good. We just like to see them win.
1. Florida State: You can hardly feel the love for the Seminoles. They are a banged up squad at the moment, possibly having to sit quarterback EJ Manuel on Saturday.
Clemson is a tough opponent that certainly has it in them to pull off their second upset in as many weeks. However, the Seminoles are still a better squad on both sides of the ball, even without Manuel.
2. Michigan: The Wolverines are yet to get the respect they deserve as a viable treat to move onward and upward in the rankings.
San Diego State has a great offensive line and running game that would give many teams fits. Michigan will handle them with ease, demanding to get some of that spotlight Notre Dame continues to hog.
3. Alabama: We have been deriding Alabama for weeks on their crisis at quarterback. It is time to accept them for what they are, a dynamic defense with one of the best running backs in the country.
A win over Arkansas coupled with a breakout game by Trent Richardson will put all the offense questions to rest.
