College Football Picks Week 4: Ranked Teams Guaranteed to Win

Eric BowmanJun 7, 2018

There are four ranked opponents playing one another this weekend, and other ranked teams will have tough contests against conference foes, but there are still some teams guaranteed for to win Week 4.

The 2011 college football season has not disappointed thus far, and this weekend's games will continue the trend of entertaining fans across the country.

With that said, here are a few locks for Week 4.

North Carolina over Georgia Tech

The Yellow Jackets find themselves at No. 25 in the AP Poll, but they have yet to play a talented defense this season. Statistically the best offense in the nation right now, Georgia Tech won't be dominant against the Tar Heels.

Currently favored at -7, the Yellow Jackets are going to struggle against the Tar Heels, who happen to have three defenders that are sure to be first round draft picks in the 2012 Draft.

North Carolina is ranked at No. 25 in the Coaches Poll. They know how to limit the option attack, and since you already have seven points take the Tar Heels all day.

Tar Heels 27, Yellow Jackets 24

Oklahoma State over Texas A&M

The Cowboys only won by three points last season, but right now they're the underdog at +4 this is just too easy. The only matchup of two top 10 teams, this game will be a shootout that comes down to the fourth quarter.

Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon have been connecting on all cylinders this season, and they will be too tough to stop.

It's their first true road test of the season, but their experience will easily lift them over the Aggies.

This will be a battle of who has the better offense, and even though the Aggies have the better running back in Cyrus Gray, the Cowboys will hit too many big plays in route to a victory.

Cowboys 48, Aggies 40

LSU over West Virginia

The No. 2 team in the country will finally prove why they deserve to be the true No. 1 once they go into Morgantown and beat the Mountaineers.

Favored at -6 1/2, the LSU Tigers' defense will prevent Geno Smith from going wild. West Virginia is an attack offense, but they have been challenged by a team anywhere close to the talent LSU has.

Ranked at No. 16, West Virginia will suffer their first loss of the season, but they should still be ranked because they will have lost to one of the best teams in the country.

Tigers 34, Mountaineers 24
