Tulsa vs. Boise State: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Gabe ZaldivarSep 21, 2011

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane head to the blue turf to take on the Boise State Broncos Saturday.

This team could use a break, but will find none in this affair.

The hits keep coming for Tulsa, who has had to play a ridiculously difficult early season. Things will not get any easier as they take on Boise State, likely without starting quarterback G.J. Kinne.

The Broncos are assured of a victory against a lesser and hobbled opponent. They will savor this game since the season starts to heat up from here.

So let's delve deeper into the clash that has BCS implications for the Broncos.

Where: Bronco Stadium (Boise, ID)

When: Saturday, Sept. 24 at 8:00 p.m. EDT

Watch: CBS Sports Network, DirecTV 613

Listen: Live streaming audio here, Tulsa Area 740 AM and 102.3 FM, Boise Area KBOI 670 AM

Betting Line (Courtesy of Betonline.com):

Spread: Boise State -28

Over/Under: 62.5

Key Storyline: For Tulsa, the story revolves around Kinne, who suffered an MCL injury last week. Tulsa can hardly stand to lose such a key weapon.

Boise State continues to be the offensive juggernaut they are every year. Kellen Moore and Doug Martin are a dynamic duo that will tear this Tulsa team apart.

Who Might Not Play For Tulsa: G.J. Kinne Questionable (knee)

Who Might Not Play For Boise State: Darren Koontz Questionable (undisclosed), Dan Paul Questionable (Groin), Joe Kellogg Questionable (leg), Chandler Koch Questionable (leg)

BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications: Tulsa has no chance of sneaking into the Top 25, even with a miraculous upset.

For Boise State, the only prize they can get out of this is a home blowout win, coupled with a hiccup by a Top Three team. Both things are within the realm of possibility.

What They're Saying:

The LA Times describe the kind of week the Tulsa Golden Hurricane are having.

"Against nationally-ranked Oklahoma State last week, Tulsa's start time was delayed several hours because of weather concerns and eventually not only did the Hurricane lose a 59-33 decision in the wee hours of Sunday morning, they also lost the services of quarterback G.J. Kinne who suffered a left knee injury and is now expected to miss 2-4 weeks of action."

Mike Lopesti of USA Today is enamored with the Broncos' play.

"The Broncos, now home on the range in the Mountain West, are still rolling, and their quarterback still looks as if he could thread a football through a prom queen's tiara...Kellen Moore has completed 79% of his passes with eight touchdowns. They're ranked No. 4 and nobody is surprised anymore, or should be."

Tulsa Player To Watch: Kalen Henderson is the understudy to the man who makes Tulsa's offense go. Kinne has an MCL injury, and Tulsa is tight-lipped as to what his status is as of Wednesday.

Henderson will have a rough go of it as Tulsa gets one of the best teams in the nation.

Boise State Player To Watch: Kellen Moore has been marvelous so far this season. He will have a chance to pad his stats against a Tulsa defense that should not be able to withstand the burners they have at receiver.

Key Matchup: The only matchup to note on the field is the Tulsa defense that has given up far too many points to be competitive.

They will need to get creative to stop the most prolific air attack in college football. This one has the markings of a game that will get ugly fast.

On the Hot Seat: Both coaches are safe at the moment. You can hardly fault Tulsa head coach Bill Blakenship for a season that starts with games against Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Prediction: Boise State 59, Tulsa 24
