Hope Solo: Soccer Star and Her DWTS Partner Forming Odd Relationship Early On
It looks like we’re going to be in for a wild ride with Hope Solo in the new season of "Dancing With the Stars."
In it’s 13th season, the producers have found quite the unique relationship with Solo and her dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The outspoken Chmerkovskiy is never one to be boring and is already poking fun at Hope. In the second episode, aired on Tuesday night, Chmerkovskiy called Solo “shy” on more than occasion and said she needed to “work on media training."

He thinks a girl that just competed in the Women’s World Cup, the biggest stage the sport has to offer, has no idea how to talk with and handle the media?
Chmerkovskiy is one cocky dude and even the ultra-friendly Hope struggles to make him sound likable:
""Maks comes across a certain way, and he’s very sexy, very confident, but at the same time, he wants to win. That’s what I respect about him, because as an athlete, he makes me work hard, he pushes me, and he’s intense. That’s all I really care about."
"
Chmerkovskiy may have embarrassed Solo a bit with his harsh comments on the show, but Hope struck back with a video ABC aired. The duo was practicing one of their routines when Chmerkovskiy made an offhanded comment about how Solo couldn’t walk like a girl in her heels. Hope quickly shot back:
""You’re more girly than any guy I’ve met!"
"
She shoots she scores!
This guy has the ego of an entire soccer field, and hopefully Solo can keep him in check.
The twosome is off to a good start so far as they survived the first elimination. Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace was the first contestant to get the dreaded axe.
As the show rolls along, it looks like it’s going to be a very interesting ride. One that will feature plenty of flirting, insults and awkwardness between Hope and her partner.
Sounds good to me.
