Chelsea To Lose Their Man?

The Chelsea Blog had previously wondered whether Chelsea could lose what was considered to be a valuable asset in reserve team coach Brendan Rodgers - and the latest news on that doesn’t look good.
Championship side Watford waved goodbye to Aidy Boothroyd earlier this month after a poor start to the season and earmarked the impressive Rodgers as a replacement. What we’re now hearing is that the Hornets are set to name him as their new manager within the next week, so it sounds as if despite turning down the assistant’s job there last season, Rodgers may well have been swayed by the thought of being the number one.
But whilst we should really wish him all the best in his first experience of first-team management and thank him for everything he’s done at Chelsea, it probably won’t be something anyone at Stamford Bridge will be particularly keen on.
