Cristiano Ronaldo Insults Bundesliga Supporters over Mario Gotze
Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be talking a lot and putting his foot in his mouth in the process. Ronaldo (according to a report by Bild, published on ESPN Soccernet) has just insulted fans of the Bundesliga with his comments about Mario Gotze.
Ronaldo declared that he had few opportunities to see Bundesliga matches and asked about Gotze. Ronaldo even asked if Gotze was good at football/soccer before talking about himself and how he is not bothered by critics.
Ronaldo may or may not read what I have to say, but here is some information about Mario Gotze.
Mario Gotze is the latest sensation of the Bundesliga, who currently plays for Borussia Dortmund. I saw Gotze in action while watching Arsenal face Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League on TV.
Gotze appeared impressive with his style of play, from what I saw. The following statistics from ESPN Soccernet talk about Gotze during the current season.
Gotze has started seven games, was used as a substitute on two occasions and scored two goals. He has had three assists, 10 shots, three of which were on goal, 12 fouls committed, 10 fouls served, one yellow card and one red card.
It is a shame that such a talented player as Ronaldo is conceited and condescending. An athlete or celebrity should at least think before making statements that can offend people.
Ronaldo will one day open his mouth, and nobody will pay attention. The reason is that, as time goes on, the sports world will look at Gotze and others of his generation and shower them with publicity.
I would like to see if Jose Mourinho could find a way to tell Ronaldo to play more and talk less.
