Patrick Miller: LSU Football Gets 2012 Commitment from 4-Star Offensive Lineman

LSU added their ninth 4-star commitment to its 2012 list. The Tigers picked up their 19th overall commitment of the 2012 recruiting class last week, signing offensive tackle Patrick Miller of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.   

Miller, was being recruited by Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, Tennessee, South Carolina and Miami, narrowing to LSU and Auburn before picking LSU.

Miller, a 6'7", 260-pounder from William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, committed to LSU on his official visit Friday night.

“He’s ready,” Dwyer coach Jack Daniels said. “His father and him really liked [head coach] Les Miles and [assistant coach] Billy Gonzales. He wanted to play in the SEC. He’s been there two or three times and really liked it.”

Miller, was a first-team All-Area selection as a junior, transferring from Benjamin to Dwyer after his sophomore season. He started last year at both tackle spots for the Panthers, who went 12-2 and reached the state semifinals.

“I know [Miller] and his dad spoke about Les Miles after spending time with him,” Daniels said. Les is an old offensive lineman and an old offensive line coach. That was a turn-on for him.”
