Liverpool FC: Luis Suarez on Verge of Stardom

Luis Suarez has wasted little time making an impact with Liverpool, and in the process he has left little doubt that this a player on the cusp of greatness.

Suarez was acquired by Liverpool this past January, and the 24-year-old was met with huge expectations. At the time, he was Liverpool's largest ever signing. Pushing him even further into the spotlight was the fact that he decided to wear No. 7.

The same No. 7 that his new coach Kenny Daglish and Reds great Kevin Keegan wore for Liverpool.

It was clear that Suarez was not afraid of the pressure of expectations, and he has lived up to them. Suarez made his impact immediately felt. He helped lead an impressive turnaround for Liverpool as they went from 12th in the Premier League to sixth.

Suarez has been equally as impressive in the new campaign. He already has two goals in just three Premier League games, one of which was a huge score to lead Liverpool past Arsenal.

The sky is clearly the limit for Suarez—just ask Liverpool's captain Steven Gerrard.

Here is what Gerrard had to say when asked if Suarez could be an all-time great. Gerrard, as quoted on guardian.co.uk:

"I don't see why not. He's still young enough and I'm sure he's going to get even better than he is now, which is a scary thought. He's got the appetite for the game to learn and get better.

"Hopefully he will go on here for a long time because he's certainly got a massive part to play at this club in the future—the history is there to be written."
