Breaking News: Cliff Harris Reinstated for Oregon Ducks' Game vs Nevada Wolfpack
According to ESPN, Oregon Ducks' coach Chip Kelly has reinstated junior cornerback and returner Cliff Harris for today's game against the Nevada Wolf Pack at Autzen Stadium.
This news comes just one day after Kelly reinstated redshirt junior Kiko Alonso after being suspended all of last season and the season opener this season for a DUI, as reported here.
Oregon's defense just took a huge step up with the return of All-American Cliff Harris. He can be put on an island and be expected to shut down a receiver.
Not only did the defense gain a lot, the special teams is now one of the best units in the nation. Harris is always a threat to take a punt to the house.
The return of Cliff Harris might not mean much against the Nevada Wolf Pack, but he could be the difference in many upcoming Pac-12 games this season. Many wonder what affect Harris would have had against the LSU Tigers in the Cowboys Classic.
The Ducks needed a spark which, last season, often came from Harris. Their defense was also missing its typical swagger that Cliff Harris often provides.
The identity of the Oregon Ducks is back. They now have their speed and tenacity back. It remains to see if Cliff Harris can learn from his mistakes this time.
